Photo Booth!!

Kids are fun!

My little sister had a bunch of her friends over the other day. Now that she moved up to Middle School, she doesn’t get to see them as much as she use to. I told my mom about a photo booth idea and suggested doing it for my sister and all of her friends. They spent a little over 2 hours taking pictures and dressing up. After all was said and done, they took over 220 photos! So I guess it would be safe to say they had a little fun. Be sure to read the full post for some of my favorite shots!

Day to Day; 1408 Dolphin Ter, Corona del Mar

I had the opportunity to shoot a home for Auction.com in Corona del Mar last week. It was an awesome two hours and then back later that day to do twilight shots! This home is more of a “Soft Modern” style. Nice clean lines with lots of warm wood throughout. It was a welcomed change from the usual stuff I get to shoot. Have a look at the full post for some more images!

Day to Day; 8 Avenida del Corro, Coto de Caza

Last week I shot another property for Mike Ameel with Coto de Caza Realty. Wasn’t his usual grand estate listings, but still quite fun to shoot none the less. I was chatting with the owner and found out her past husband was an architect – which shows in the furniture. Nice clean lines and tailored look. Photographs nicely! Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day.

Preparing Your Home for Photography

What should you do/needs to be done prior to putting your home on the market and photographing it? I’ve made a list of items that should be addressed before hand. Before each shoot I’ll be emailing this to new clients. This should hopefully aid in photographing your listing quicker and a faster sale for you, since it will be showing at its best! A win win for both parties.

See something that I left off the list? Let me know so I can put it on there!

Day to Day; 32311 Caribbean, Monarch Beach

What a challenge!!! This was one of the more difficult homes I’ve shot. When I first arrived I was met with bright windows and a dark wood interior. After fighting with the extremely difficult dynamic range in each photograph, I ended up with some great shots! I got to come back later in the day to get some twilight and epic view shots. Be sure to read the full post to see some more of the final images.

Day to Day; Branches, Ladera Ranch

Just wrapped up this shoot today in Ladera Ranch. Really nice home to photograph. Although the weather outside was somewhat gloomy, it made for some really nice interior shots! We caught a break when we moved to the exterior as the sun started poking through the clouds. All in all – great success!

Day to Day; Laguna Lido, Laguna Beach

Man, life is tough at the beach. Even though I felt like I was on vacation, I had some serious work on my hands. When I first arrived I was pretty excited – nicely decorated home, great views and finishes, what more could you ask for? Then I noticed the bad – not so bright interior, bright white clouds outside, and low ceilings. All equal up to be a bit of a challenge, especially when you are going to want to see the view through the windows. I spent a little extra time on site, which saved me some time in front of my computer – always a win for me. Be sure to read the full post to see some more of the final images!

Day to Day; 411 Edgewater, Newport Beach

Remember this shot from last week? This is the follow up post with the final images! It was a fun and challenging day and night, but in the end the agent was pleased. He had a specific look he wanted and it took some extra time on my part to get the right compositions and lighting. Have a look at the full post to see more of the final images.
