About a month ago I photographed another property for Sarah Jackson, an interior designer. This is the second project that I’ve worked with her on. Her goal in the end is to compose a written book outlining all of her design choices, furniture, ideas, and even where to buy things at great prices. It will be exciting when it comes out, especially since some of my work will be featured in it!
Have a look at some of the images that we produced on that long, exhausting day!

I got to do some aerials the other day for a great client of mine, Auction.com. I work with their luxury home division – helping with their photography needs. I got the call to shoot one of their new properties in Laguna Beach located on the coast. What’s really going to sell this place is the location. So I suggested maybe doing some aerial shots of the home would be a great asset in their marketing. I got the go ahead, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results – as were they! Have a look at a few more shots past the break!

I was contacted a few weeks ago to photograph this home that’s more of a “for sale by owner”. The weather wasn’t ideal, but I ended up getting some pretty nice interior shots! It’s located in Three Arch Bay in Laguna Beach – with some killer ocean views. Although it was cloudy, through the powers of Photoshop, I made a few shots work. Check out some more of the shots past the break!

I had the opportunity to shoot a home for Auction.com in Corona del Mar last week. It was an awesome two hours and then back later that day to do twilight shots! This home is more of a “Soft Modern” style. Nice clean lines with lots of warm wood throughout. It was a welcomed change from the usual stuff I get to shoot. Have a look at the full post for some more images!

Last week I shot another property for Mike Ameel with Coto de Caza Realty. Wasn’t his usual grand estate listings, but still quite fun to shoot none the less. I was chatting with the owner and found out her past husband was an architect – which shows in the furniture. Nice clean lines and tailored look. Photographs nicely! Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day.

What should you do/needs to be done prior to putting your home on the market and photographing it? I’ve made a list of items that should be addressed before hand. Before each shoot I’ll be emailing this to new clients. This should hopefully aid in photographing your listing quicker and a faster sale for you, since it will be showing at its best! A win win for both parties.
See something that I left off the list? Let me know so I can put it on there!

What a challenge!!! This was one of the more difficult homes I’ve shot. When I first arrived I was met with bright windows and a dark wood interior. After fighting with the extremely difficult dynamic range in each photograph, I ended up with some great shots! I got to come back later in the day to get some twilight and epic view shots. Be sure to read the full post to see some more of the final images.

Just wrapped up this shoot today in Ladera Ranch. Really nice home to photograph. Although the weather outside was somewhat gloomy, it made for some really nice interior shots! We caught a break when we moved to the exterior as the sun started poking through the clouds. All in all – great success!

Man, life is tough at the beach. Even though I felt like I was on vacation, I had some serious work on my hands. When I first arrived I was pretty excited – nicely decorated home, great views and finishes, what more could you ask for? Then I noticed the bad – not so bright interior, bright white clouds outside, and low ceilings. All equal up to be a bit of a challenge, especially when you are going to want to see the view through the windows. I spent a little extra time on site, which saved me some time in front of my computer – always a win for me. Be sure to read the full post to see some more of the final images!
